ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
LoveActionPDX is a movement of Christians coming together to demonstrate Jesus' call to love our neighbors, stand with oppressed, excluded, and marginalized persons through justice, compassion, humility and action while opposing the false witness of white christian nationalism.
OUR TEAM
Julie has over 30 years of experience delivering, leading, and consulting in non-profit, government, faith communities, academia, and public services. Julie is a social worker and educator who has served as a consultant, professor, dean, executive, ministry, and system leader.
Julie has often said that throughout her life she has straddled the secular and the sacred. She is called to bear witness to the suffering people live through and to participate in bringing hope and healing to them (Jeremiah 33:6). She is motivated to honor God in all things, to stand for justice and to love people.

Jeanne loves Jesus, the Gospel of Luke, and the Book of Jonah. She has been a priest since 2019 and active in the Episcopalian Church in Oregon for the past 10 years and currently serves as Rector of a local Episcopalian Church. She graduated with a Masters of Divinity from the Church Divinity School in the Pacific in 2019.
Jeanne has a BA in history from Rice University and a MA in Japanese studies from the University of Washington and worked in Japan after college. Prior to becoming a priest, she worked in local government, in the local sportswear industry, and was a full-time stay-at-home parent. She once encountered God when lost in a snowstorm on the grounds of a monastery.
